Why not a separate password?: It reuses the strong protections (like 2FA) already on your Google or Microsoft account.
Which Microsoft accounts work?: Microsoft 365 work or school accounts always work. Outlook, Hotmail, and Live accounts work if this deployment allows personal Microsoft accounts.
